The Holmes 440 series is built in the
same tradition that has made Holmes the
most recognized name in the towing and
recovery industry.
The low profile 8 ton recovery boom is
equipped with twin lift cylinders for
greater stability and the eight thousand
lb. winches are mounted directly to the
recovery boom to ease operation of
cables when lowering and elevating the
boom. The body comes standard with
features such as an integrated driver's
side tool compartment to help prevent
rust, removable access covers for easy
maintenance and rear "L" arm storage
tubes for easier and quicker hookups.
The six function wheel lift provides
both independent tilt and 4,000 lbs. of
lifting capacity at full extension.

SERIES - CHASSIS RECOMMENDATIONS |
|
Holmes Models 440-0,
440-1 and 440-2 should be installed on a
chassis with a minimum GVW of 10,000
lbs., dual rear wheels, and a minimum
C.A. of 60". A heavy duty spring
package is recommended. Requires a
manual transmission and an accessible
PTO opening or optional clutch pump for
automatic transmissions. |
